Baseball Laps Penn State Abington to Close Regular Season

AMBLER - The Arcadia University baseball team closed out the regular season with a 12-0 win over Penn State Abington in non-conference play from Skip Wilson Field on Tuesday afternoon.

FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia improved to 25-13 with the win.

-Penn State Abington fell to 29-11.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Max Oswald and Simon Abdullah opened the scoring with RBI's in the bottom of the first, scoring Kevin Wheeler and Solomon Abdullah.

-In the bottom of the second, Wheeler singled to right scoring Eric Shandler, Noah Stennett hit a two-run double to left bringing home Derek Rivera and Wheeler, and Oswald brought Stennett home with a sacrifice fly as the lead grew to 6-0.

-Jake Keirstead brought home Si. Abdullah with a single to left in the bottom of the third followed by a two-run single to left bringing in Will Childs and Keirstead to grow the advantage to 9-0.

-Si. Abdullah, Childs, and Keirstead each brought runs home in the final innings to finish the scoring.

-Brock Haynes earned his first win in a scoreless relief effort, allowing just two hits in 3.2 innings with three walks.
