No. 2 Baseball Wins Game One of MAC Freedom Semifinals

AMBLER - The No. 2 seed Arcadia University baseball team opened the semifinals of the 2026 Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Championship Tournament with a 6-3 win over No. 3 Misericordia from Skip Wilson Field on Friday afternoon.

FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia improved to 26-13 with the win.

-Misericordia fell to 26-15 with the defeat.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Misericordia opened the scoring in the top of the first with a run.

-Solomon Abdullah tied the score in the bottom of the inning with a sacrifice fly that brought in Kevin Wheeler.

-Hunter Dicarlantonio gave Arcadia the lead in the bottom of the second with a sacrifice fly to center field plating Will Childs.

-Max Oswald increased the lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the seventh with a no-doubt two-run home run to left field that scored So. Abdullah.

-So. Abdullah finished the scoring for the Knights with a two-out, two-run single to right center that fell in no-man's land and allowed Taro Pustilnik and Noah Stennett to score.

-The Cougars scored twice in the top of the ninth.

-LJ Wolff moved to 4-2 with the win, allowing one run on six hits across 6.0 innings with one walk and five strikeouts.

-Gavin Kincs earned his fifth save, tossing the final three innings allowing two runs on five hits with zero walks and five punchouts.
