Overwatch Moves Up in National Rankings after Toppling Two Top-10 Programs

GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University Overwatch program knocked off two top-10 teams and moved up in the national rankings while Rocket League and Super Smash Brothers Ultimate earned wins for inside the Esports Arena this past week.

OVERWATCH

The Arcadia University Overwatch team continued its historic season at it defeated No. 8 Fisher College 3-1 on March 27th, the top-ranked team, and No. 5 Bryant & Stratton College 3-1 on April 2nd. Arcadia will return to action on April 10th where it will face the winner of Northwood and Fisher's second team, who play tonight. With the wins, the Knights moved up to No. 17 in the Collegiate Overwatch rankings.

ROCKET LEAGUE

The Arcadia University Rocket League program opened the NECC playoffs with a win over Fanshawe and will return to action on Wednesday against Pace.

SUPER SMASH BROTHERS ULTIMATE

The No. 6 seed Arcadia University Super Smash Brothers Ultimate team faced No. 3 St. Lawrence, taking a 2-1 win. In game one, the Knights jumped out early en route to a 12-0 win. In game two, Lukas Schachte took four stocks but was unable to keep pace as Arcadia fell 3-0 to tie the match at one. In game three, Zydeek Perez turned a 10-6 deficit into a 16-10 lead with 10 unanswered stocks as the Knights won 6-0 to take the match 2-1. Arcadia moves on to face No. 2 Wilkes University in the next round.
