Overwatch Earns Highest Ranking, Super Smash Brothers Qualifies for Postseason

GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University Overwatch team earned its highest ranking in program history, while Super Smash Brothers Qualified to the NECC Postseason as compeition continued in the Esports Arena.

OVERWATCH
The Arcadia University Overwatch program defeated No. 6 North Carolina State as Ethan Piperno and Tommy Porowski shined in a DPS role as the Knights vaulted into the national rankings from Collegiate Overwatch at No. 18, up 12 spots and the highest-ever ranking.

SUPER SMASH BROTHERS ULTIMATE
The Arcadia University Super Smash Brothers Ultimate team faced off with Edinboro, taking a 2-1 victory. In game one, the Knights trailed 9-7, but Zion Foy almost pulled off the comeback with five stocks but Arcadia ultimately fell. In game two, Zydeek Perez knocked out Edinboro's best player in the first round as the Knights took game two 3-0 to force the winner-take-all game three. In the tiebreaking contest, Perez shined as Arcadia won 2-0 to earn the match victory and secure a spot in the NECC Tournament.
