KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's golf team concluded play at the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championship on Sunday at Berkleigh Golf Club. The Knights finished fifth in the 11-team field with a two-day total of 806 (+230), following a second-round score of 407 (+119). Berkleigh is a par 72 course playing 5,608 yards.
Katherine Gaffney led Arcadia on the final day with a 94 (+22) and finished tied for 18th overall with a two-day total of 191 (+44).
Gaffney opened with a 50 (+15) on the front nine before improving by six strokes on the back with a 44 (+7). She recorded pars on holes 10, 16, and 18 to close out her round.
Taylor Gardner placed second for the Knights, finishing 17th overall with a two-day score of 188 (+44). Gardner shot a 98 (+28) in round two, highlighted by a 45 (+10) on the front that included four consecutive pars starting on the second hole. She added a 53 (+16) on the back nine.
Cristy Gori finished third for Arcadia with a 106 (+34) in the second round, posting a two-day total of 227 (+83) to place 36th. She shot a 52 (+17) on the front and a 54 (+17) on the back, with her lone par coming on the par-3 15th hole.
Kylie Beers rounded out the scoring for the Knights with a 109 (+37) in round two and finished 33rd overall with a 218 (+74). She carded a 49 (+14) on the front, including back-to-back pars on holes two and three, before shooting a 60 (+23) on the back.
Kaitlynn Clark recorded a 114 (+42) in the second round, finishing 32nd overall with a two-day total of 217 (+73). She shot a 56 (+21) on the front and a 58 (+21) on the back, recording pars on holes six and 16.
York captured the MAC Championship title with a 653 (+77), while Stevenson finished second at 702 (+126). Hood placed third (758, +182), followed by Alvernia in fourth (787, +211). Arcadia rounded out the top five, ahead of Eastern (856), Lebanon Valley (858), Misericordia (880), FDU-Florham (909), Albright (924), and King's (954).
Victoria Jolakian of York earned medalist honors, leading wire-to-wire with a two-day total of 159 (+15), finishing ahead of teammate Grace Strickland.
