GALLOWAY, N.J. – The Arcadia University field hockey team opened the 2026 season with a 5-0 loss to Stockton University Tuesday evening. The Knights (0-1) saw the game called with 6:57 remaining in the fourth quarter following a second weather delay. Senior Anna Dobolovosky made a career-high 18 saves, tying for the second-most saves in a single game in program history. Mia De Plato also recorded 18 saves during the 2012 season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
· Anna Dobolovosky got the start in goal for the Knights and made four saves in the first quarter to keep the game scoreless.
· The Knights recorded back-to-back shots from Mackenzie Clark and Lilli Clark, with both attempts saved by the Stockton goalkeeper.
· The game then entered its first lightning delay.
· In the second quarter, the Knights earned two early penalty corners and recorded a shot from Kyra Moyer, which was blocked, before Stockton converted on a penalty corner of its own to take a 1-0 lead.
· Dobolovosky made four additional saves in the second quarter as the Knights entered halftime trailing 1-0.
· Stockton took control in the second half, scoring three times in the third quarter to extend its lead to 4-0.
· The Knights earned two additional penalty corners in the fourth quarter before Stockton added another goal to make it 5-0.
· The game was called with 6:57 remaining in the fourth quarter, as the Knights fell 5-0 in their season opener.
