MADISON, N.J., Tuesday, March 8, 2011-- Middle Atlantic Conference play opened Tuesday afternoon for visiting Arcadia University and host Fairleigh Dickinson-Florham and the Devils made the most of their offensive opportunities, scoring 14 goals on 17 chances while holding Arcadia scoreless until the 40th minute of play as FDU picks up the 14-3 win in their season opener. Arcadia drops to 1-1 overall and will look to get back on track when they host non-conference opponent Immaculata University this Thursday at 4 p.m.
Senior midfielder Erika Depelteau scored six goals while junior midfielder Breana Kilpatrick added three goals and three assists to lead the Devils who were selected to finish third in the league standings come playoff time. Kilpatrick helped her team jump out to an early 2-0 lead 1:23 into today's contest while Depelteau netted the natural hat trick on goals four, five and six for the Devils for a 6-0 FDU lead with five minutes and change left to play in the opening half. The Knights could only produce three shots in the opening thirty minutes and would allow Kilpatrick in one more time, scoring on Knight's starting keeper junior

Jen Ng 22 seconds later off the draw but FDU tacked on a final score with 46 seconds to play in the game sealing the 11 goal-victory.
The Knights, who were outshot 17-14 by FDU, were led by Holguin's five shots on goal with three from Volk-Perez. Arcadia earned ground ball possession bragging rights 14-11. Holguins' goal was her fifth of the year while Ng netted her second score in as many games.
