Knights Make Quick Work of Ravens in Non-League Action

GLENSIDE, Pa., Tuesday, April 5, 2011--  Arcadia University Women's Lacrosse rolled to their second straight victory today, a non-conference win over the visiting Ravens of Rosemont College by a score of 18-0. The Knights (4-5/2-4 MAC) placed twelve different players in the scoring column in a game they dominated from start to finish.  

Arcadia went up quickly, taking a 6-0 lead and would go on to a 13-0 lead at the half. 

First-year Jenna Crothers scored her first collegiate goal for the Knights and finished with two scores.  Also registering their first collegiate goals were Abigail Brockelbank '14, Nancy Campbell '14 and Deanna Thompson '14, who came out of the net for some time as a field player in the second half. Megan Madison '12 tallied her first of the season and finished with two points. 

Leading the scoring attack was Megan Fallon '13 with two goals and two assists, Stephanie Holguin '12 with a team high 3 goals, and Sara Volk-Perez '14 who added a goal and two assists. Katie Bauer '14 finished with a goal and an assist and a team-high seven ground balls and three caused turnovers. Kristen Chasse '11, Kreena Patel '11, Jen Ng '11, Kelsey Unger '11 and Kelly Donahue '11 also finished with a goal apiece.

The Knights return to action with No. 15 Messiah College this Wednesday in Grantham. The team plays at home on Saturday, hosting King's College. Both games are Middle Atlantic Conference contests.
