GLENSIDE, PA: Haylee Molloy '15 and Jenna Crothers '14 combined for 12 points as Arcadia University used a dominating second half to bring their two-game winless skid to a grinding halt with the Knights defeating visiting Rutgers-Camden University by a 17-8 final.  The two teams entered the half with Arcadia clinging to a one-goal lead but the Knights went on to out-score the Raptors 10-2 over the final thirty.

The Knights (4-5, 0-1 FC) fought back from an early two goal deficit after RCU's Samantha Gregg netted the first two of her four goals on the day.  A yellow card to the Raptors placed Molloy at the eight-meter mark, converting on the free position shot and soon after Crothers found Katie Bauer '14 for the score and a 2-2 game.

The game seesawed over the next ten minutes before the Knights went on a four-goal spree, all unanswered by the Raptors, lifting Arcadia out to a 7-4 advantage.  But the Raptors Annalise Strojan made it 7-5 with 2:08 before the half and an unfortunate miscue off a save by Arcadia keeper Deanna Thompson '13 resulted in an own goal for RCU with 1:05 remaining allowing the Knights just a one-goal cushion at the break.

The game didn't begin to get out of the Raptors' reach until the 12 minute of mark of the second stanza.  A goal by Jessica Giampietro at 13:49 put RCU within two of Arcadia's 10-8 lead but that would be the final hurrah for the Raptors with the Knights dictating the remaining minutes.  The Raptors (3-5, 0-2 NJAC) surrendered seven straight tallies to Arcadia over the game's final ten minutes to give the Knights their third win at home (3-1).

Thompson evens her record at 2-2 with 10 saves to her credit.  Molloy finished with 6 goals on 8 shots, going 3-3 on free position attempts with 5 draw controls.  Crothers scored 4 and added 2 assists.  Jacyln Feffer '15 and Kaitlin Barry '14 each finished with 3 pts while Bauer, Jaclyn Kell '15 and Catherine Brown '15 each added a point apiece.

The Knights out-shot the Raptors 30-25 and edged their visitors on draws 14-12.  Arcadia finished 5-7 on free position shots and picked up 38 ground balls to the Raptor's 25.

This Thursday, April 2, the Knights return to their Freedom Conference schedule, looking to even their record when they travel to host King's College.  Game time is set for 4 p.m.
