Box Score Reading, PA (January 16, 20113) - The Arcadia University Knights (8-8, 1-8) dropped a 60-46 MAC Commonwealth game at the Alvernia University Crusaders (6-8, 3-5). Alvernia opened up the game on a 22-6 run, leading by 16 at the 7:48 mark of the first half and maintained their lead for the entire game.
Morgan Wensley scored 14 points to lead the Knights.
Alvernia opened up the game on the 22-6 run, taking the 16-point lead with 7:48 to play in the first half. The Crusaders extended their lead to 28-11 and took a 12-point lead into the break. Arcadia tried to cut into the deficit early in the second half, but Alvernia continued to maintain a 10-15 point margin. The Knights could only get as close as nine early in the second half, while the Crusaders led by as many as 21 points late in the second half before winning by the 14-point margin.
Wensley was 4-12 from the field and 5-5 from the line for Arcadia. Sam Caligiuri added eight points for Knights. Stevie Fortna and Chelsea Ebersole each scored 16 points to lead Alvernia.
Arcadia will return home on Saturday when they host Stevenson for a 1pm tip-off in Alumni Gym.
