Women's Lacrosse Scores Six Unanswered Goals in Second Half to Defeat Wilkes

Box Score Edwardsville, PA (April 13, 2013) - The Arcadia University Knights (9-4, 2-1 MFRE) six unanswered goals in the second half and turned a 6-4 defect into a 10-7 win at Wilkes College. The Knights trailed 5-3 at the break, but won the second half by five goals. Dawn Faranetta scored four times for the Knights.

Wilkes scored twice to start the match and take the early lead. Dawn Faranetta scored at 18:27 make it 2-1. Wilkes then made it 3-1, but Meghan Fallon and Jaclyn Feffer each scored tie the game at 3-3 with 12:12 to play in the first half. Wilkes scored the final two goals of the half and took a 5-3 lead into the break.

Arcadia made it 5-4 at the 22:04 mark, but Wilkes answered to make it 6-4. Arcadia then scored six straight as Faranetta scored twice, Haylee Molloy scored twice, Faranetta scored again and Jenna Crothers made it 10-6 at the 5:18 mark. Fallon assisted on Molloy's first goal. Wilkes scored at the 3:57 mark to make the final 10-7.

Wilkes outshot Arcadia 25-23 and controlled 12 of the 19 draws. Molloy scored three times, while Fallon had a goal and two assists.

Arcadia will return to action on Wednesday as they travel to face Manhattanville.
