Glenside, PA (August 31, 2013) - Less then 24 hours after winning their first match of the season the Arcadia University Volleyball team dropped a tough 3-0 non-conference match to visiting Cairn University Saturday afternoon in Alumni Gymnasium.  

Cairn Highlanders came out on fire in the first set handing the Knights a 25-16 loss.  The Knights would rally back in set two but fall short 25-23.  Set three was no different for the Highlanders as they won 25-8 to take the victory.  

Freshman Makenna Micklus led the Knights with 6 kills and 7 digs.  Junior Natalie Cadmus added 5 kills and 11 digs. Junior Dzhessica Gorbacheva had a solid afternoon with 3 kills.  

Cairn improves to 3-0 on the season in while the Knights drop to 1-1.  The Knights will look to regroup when they travel to Commonwealth Conference opponent Hood College on Wednesday at 7 PM.
