Box Score GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's soccer team controlled play for a majority of the game and outshot visiting Marywood University 22-12 in the match, but could not find the back of the net as the two teams played to a 0-0 tie Saturday afternoon at Easton Field. It was the first game of the year for both teams.
Senior keeper
Ryan Lantzy (Phoenixville, Pa.) made four saves in net for the Knights, while junior keeper Justin Sunseri (River Vale, N.J.) registered 10 saves in net for the Pacers, which included a couple one-on-one breaks for Arcadia.
The best scoring chances in the contest all seemed to come from sophomore midfielder Michael Eric (Whitehall, Pa.), who was stopped on a pair of breakaways, had two shots that went just wide of an open net, and hit one post.
Arcadia will return to action Wednesday, September 4, when it hosts a 7 p.m. non-conference contest against Swarthmore College at Easton Field. There will be a Philly Pretzel giveaway during the game, and a halfime shooting contest at halftime with the winner receiving an Arcadia prize pack.
