GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 non-conference decision to visiting Penn State-Abington Wednesday at Weiss Courts. It was the final match of the Fall for both teams.
The Nittany Lions improved to 5-0 with the victory, while the Knights dropped to 1-4 on the year.

Allyson Naiken teamed for an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles over junior Sheena Philip and sophomore Honora Hegarty to start the day for Arcadia, but the tandem of senior Gabrielle Eberhardt and freshman Olya Popili managed to pull out a 9-7 win at No. 2 over sophomore

Alexis Ward, giving Abington a 2-1 lead heading into singles play.
Sawyer was a 6-1, 6-0 winner over Hegarty at No. 1 singles and Naiken was a 6-4, 6-1 winner at No. 2 singles over Popili to give the Knights a 3-2 lead in the match, but the Nittany Lions won each of the remaining contests to secure the win.
