Molloy and Misner Power Women’s Lacrosse Team Past Immaculata, 18-6

Box Score IMMACLATA, Pa. – Junior Haylee Molloy (Holtsville, N.Y.) and freshman Erin Misner (Westhampton, N.J.) accounted for 12 of the Knights' 18 goals to lead the Arcadia University women's lacrosse team to an 18-6 non-conference victory at Immaculata University Saturday. The Knights improved to 9-1 with the win, while the Mighty Macs fell to 3-6)
 
Immaculata actually held an early 3-2 lead following goals from junior Danielle Lopez (Manasquan, N.J.) and sophomore Allison Jakavick (Reading, Pa.) that were separated by 1:12 in the opening eight minutes of play, but it was all Arcadia from there as the Knights went on a five-goal run to regain the lead for good.  Arcadia scored seven of the final eight first half tallies to take a 9-4 lead at the break, and then outscored the Mighty Macs 9-2 in the second half.
 
Molloy scored seven goals and assisted on another for the Knights, while Misner accounted for five goals and netted what proved to be the game-winner with 8:56 left in the first half. Senior Sara Volk-Perez (Mays Landing, N.J.) scored three goals with one assist, while classmate Jenna Crothers (Patchogue, N.Y.) scored one goal and dished out a game-high five assists. Sophomore Jordyn Dunacusky (Conshohocken. Pa.) stopped four shots as she ran her record to 9-0 for the season.
 
Lopez scored four goals to lead Immaculata, while Jakavick and sophomore Kelly Lapp (Doylestown, Pa.) added one goal each. Senior Nicole Behrandt (Exton, Pa.) totaled seven saves in net as her record fell to 3-6.
 
Arcadia outshot the Mighty Macs 33-10 in the game and had a 16-10 advantage in draw controls, while Immaculata had a 9-8 edge in ground balls.
 
The Knights will next travel to Manhattanville College next Saturday for a 1 p.m. Freedom Conference contest.
