GLENSIDE, Pa. – The top-seeded Arcadia University women's lacrosse team will host the 2014 Freedom Conference Championship Game against second-seeded Wilkes University May 3 at 3 p.m. at Easton Field.
TICKET INFORMATION: Per the Middle Atlantic Conference, there will NOT be complimentary admission to the game. Ticket prices for the game are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $2 for students, and children under six (6) are free. Anyone presenting a valid Arcadia University ID will be admitted free of charge, courtesy of the Athletic Department.

ABOUT ARCADIA: The Knights are 17-1 for the season following their 11-8 Freedom Conference semifinal win over fourth-seeded and 2013 Freedom Conference Champion FDU-Florham Thursday. Senior
Jenna Crothers leads the team in scoring with 31 goals and a school-record 73 assists for a school-record 104 points. She ranks at the top of the conference in both assists and total points this season. Junior
Haylee Molloy ranks second on the team in scoring with a team-best 57 goals and 10 assists for 67 points, while sophomore
Dawn Faranetta is third on the team in scoring with 44 goals and 22 assists for 66 points. Freshman
Erin Misner has 47 goals and 12 assists for 59 points, while senior
Sara Volk-Perez rounds out the top-five in scoring for Arcadia with 26 goals and 14 assists for 40 points. Sophomore
Jordyn Dunacusky is 17-0 in goal for the Knights this season, setting a new school record for wins, while posting a 5.77 goals against average and a .583 save percentage. She leads all conference goalies in each category, while her 127 saves rank her fourth in the league.
ABOUT WILKES: The second-seeded Colonels are 13-2 entering today's game after recording a wild 26-19 win over third-seeded Misericordia University Thursday. That game was tied at 10 at the half and Wilks held a 19-18 lead with 13 minutes to go before going on a 7-1 run to close out the game. Junior Carley Smith leads the team in scoring with 54 goals and 49 assists for 103 points, while senior Gabby Ford is second with 59 goals and 29 assists for 88 points. Sophomore Madeline Brownsey is third on the team in scoring with 60 goals and seven assists for 69 points, while classmate Tori Kerr ranks fourth in scoring with a team and conference-leading 62 goals with seven assists for 69 points. Freshman Morgan Galluzzo is 13-2 in goal with a 10.05 goals against average and a .365 save percentage, recording just 80 saves while allowing 139 goals.
LAST MEETING: Arcadia opened the game with a nine-goal run and never looked back as it cruised to a 19-3 Freedom Conference victory over visiting Wilkes April 12 right here at Easton Field. The Knights scored three times in the opening three and a half minutes, prompting the Colonels to call a timeout to try and regroup, but Arcadia scored the next six goals coming out of the huddle to pull away, opening a 9-0 advantage on Misner's first goal of the game. Molloy scored a season-high eight goals and assisted on another to lead the Knights to the win, while Crothers scored one goal and handed out five assists. Dunacusky totaled nine saves to improve her record to 13-0 in net for Arcadia. Galluzzo had 10 saves in taking the loss for the Wilkes. The Knights outshot the Colonels 36-20, had a 25-16 advantage in ground balls and held a 13-11 edge in draw controls
POSTSEASON HISTORY: Arcadia won a 16-11 Freedom Conference semifinal last season, which was the first-ever postseason meeting between the two programs. The Knights trailed 7-6 before Faranetta tied the game with 2:16 to go in the first half, and Megan Fallon scored just before time expired in the period to give Arcadia an 8-7 lead at the break. The Colonels scored three of the first four goals in the second half to regain the lead at 10-9, but the Knights took control of the game from there and scored seven of the next eight goals for the 16-11 final. Molloy scored a game-high eight goals with one assist to lead Arcadia, while Faranetta finished with four goals. Brownsey, Kerr and Smith netted three goals each for Wilkes.
NEXT UP: The winner of this game will receive the Freedom Conference's automatic berth into the 2014 NCAA Division III Championship Tournament, which will be announced during a live selection show that will air tomorrow at 9:30 p.m. on NCAA.com.
