DALLAS, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's tennis team fell to 2-6 overall and 1-2 in Freedom Conference play after dropping a 7-2 conference match at Misericordia University Saturday. The Cougars improved to 2-6 overall after winning their conference-opener.
The senior tandem of
Kaila Gaughan and
Viola Sawyer were 8-5 victors over sophomores Bridget Boyle and Megan Meyers at No. 1 doubles, and Sawyer went on the defeat Myers at No. 1 singles, winning the second set 6-2 and the third set 6-3 after falling in the first set 6-3.
The Knights will be back in action Sunday when they travel to Delaware Valley University for a Freedom Conference match.
