DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's tennis team recorded a 9-0 Freedom Conference victory at Delaware Valley University Sunday, improving its record to 3-6 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

Kaila Gaughan and
Viola Sawyer were 8-2 winners over junior Jessica Oszvart and freshman Melanie Mayhew at No. 1 doubles as the Knights built a 3-0 lead in doubles play. Junior

Kayla Haberbosch won a tightly contested 8-5 decision over freshmen Tess Hansler and Natalie Hoffman, while sophomore
Jennifer Khawam and freshman
Sarah Hanley defeated junior Emilyann Maialetti and freshman Laken Henry an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles.
Sawyer went on to beat Oszvart in straight sets at No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-2, while Gaughan swept Hoffman at No. 3 singles 6-3, 6-3. Khawam beat Maialetti 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5 singles and Hanley defeated Henry 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.
Naiken took the third and deciding set against Mayhew 7-5 at No. 2 singles after winning the first set 6-2 and falling in the second 6-4, while Haberbosch pulled out a 6-2 win in the third set to defeat Hansler after winning the opening set 6-3 and falling in the second 6-0.
Arcadia will next take on Eastern University Wednesday in a Freedom Conference match.
