GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's swimming team totaled 10 first-place finishes on its way to a 170-91 Middle Atlantic Conference dual meet win over visiting Hood College Saturday at Lenox Pool. It was the first meet of the season for both programs.
RELAYS: The Knights opened the meet by winning the 200 medley relay as the team of senior

T.J. Dalton, junior
Jacob Schellinger and freshman
Mark Preedy clocked in at 1:42.03. Schellinger and Preedy later teamed up with freshman
Tristan Highet and senior
Matthew Morano to win the 200 freestyle relay in 1:31.95 to close the meet.
BACKSTROKE: Lam swept the backstroke events, winning the 100 in 57.52 and the 200 in 2:03.02. Highet was the runner-up in the 100 (57.79, while sophomore
Michael Melissen touched third in the 200 (2:10.00).
BUTTERFLY: Morano won the 100 butterfly in 55.43 as Arcadia swimmers occupied each of the top-three spots; Melissen took second in 55.70 and Schellinger was third in 56.44. Melissen touched first in the 200 fly in 2:06.16.
DISTANCE: Junior
Grant Fisher was the runner-up in the 500 with a time of 4:55.90 and 1,000 in 10:08.46. Sophomore
Bill Rodgers (11:59.95) took fourth in the 1,000, while freshman
Zach Bondurant (5:26.15) placed fourth in the 500.
INDIVIDUAL MEDLEY: Lam (2:04.44) was also the winner of the 200 IM, while Dalton (2:09.77) placed third and fellow freshman
Austin Lauer (2:12.48) finished fourth.
SPRINTS: Morano won the 200 in 1:50.29, while sophomore
A.J. Cawley came in second in 1:56.36. Highet (49.46) and Morano (49.59) registered a one-two finish in the 100, while Preedy (23.00), Cawley (23.70) and freshman
Joe O'Boyle (23.98) occupied second through fourth in the 50.
UP NEXT: The Knights will return to action October 29 when they travel to Misericordia University for a double-dual meet with FDU-Florham.
