ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's tennis team completed the dual match play portion of its fall schedule at Eastern Wedneday after, falling 7-2.
 
FOR THE RECORD:

• The Knights moved to 2-2 in the fall
• The Eagles are now 2-0

 
ARCADIA WINNERS:

• The duo of freshman Isabella Fontanella and Emily Rusack took the tiebreaker 7-4 at third doubles to slip past Taylor Weirich and Emily Thomas 9-8
• Sophomore Sarah Aschemeier bounced back to take the last two sets in a 1-6, 6-2, 6-4

 
CLOSE CALLS:

• Freshman Laryssa Badulak nearly forced a third set at No. 2 singles as she forced a second set tiebreak
• Freshman Emily Cruz-Pineda was on the road to a comeback in the second set before she was forced to retire

UP NEXT:

• The Knights head north to the MAC Individual Championships this weekend at Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre.
