Men’s Soccer Battles No. 11/16 Lycoming in MAC Commonwealth Play

GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's soccer team hosted No. 11/16 Lycoming Saturday afternoon in conference play, falling 2-0 to the Warriors.

FOR THE RECORD: The Knights own a 7-3-1 record on the year, including a 1-2 mark against MAC Commonwealth foe. The Warriors are 12-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Arcadia's defense showed its fortitude in the early portion of the first half, as it thwarted Lycoming's early attempts to score. Senior Chris Watson played a key role for the Knights early as he came up with a pair of big saves in the first three and a half minutes. Trailing by one late in the opening frame, senior Georges Fiori and freshman Alexander Kuchnicki provided a spark with the half's final two shots. The Knights never backed down after the Warriors scored their second goal early in the second half, going right on the attack culminating a shot by junior Ryan Hammer.

ARCADIA LEADERS:  Arcadia spread out its attack as five different players shot the ball, including two shots from Hammer.

LYCOMING LEADERS: The Warriors got goals from Duc Momo and Keenthy Yeboah.

IN GOAL: Watson (7-3-1) made six saves for the Knights, while Chris Solecki (12-1) denied one shot.
