DANBURY, Conn. – The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team has been selected to compete in the 2017 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championship Tournament, marking the program's second ECAC tournament selection in three years. The sixth-seeded Knights will open the tournament Wednesday night at third-seeded Drew.
2017 ECAC FIELD: Stockton (9-6) is the No. 1 seed and received a first round bye. The Ospreys will host this weekend's semifinal and championship round May 13-14, and will face the winner of the first round matchup between fourth-seeded Marywood (12-6) and fifth-seeded Marymount (10-6). The remaining first round game is between second-seeded Misericordia (12-4) and seventh-seeded Moravian (7-7), the winner of which will face the winner of the Arcadia-Drew game.

ABOUT ARCADIA: The Knights went 8-8 during the regular season, but missed the MAC Commonwealth tournament after going 2-6 in league play. Senior
Erin Misner was the team's lone all-conference selection, earning Second-Team All-MAC Commonwealth honors after totaling 35 goals, 12 assists, 26 ground balls and 47 draw controls during the regular season. She ranks third on the team in scoring, trailing freshman
Shannon Ryan (30 goals, 35 assists) and junior
Allegra Benites (31 goals, 18 assists). Junior
Liz Stierle is 8-5 in goal with a 9.89 goals against average and a .495 save percentage after totaling 107 saves this season.
ECAC TOURNAMENT HISTORY: Arcadia's first ECAC tournament appearance was in 2015, when the fourth-seeded Knights took down fifth-seeded Drew 14-11 in the first round before suffering a 13-2 loss at top-seeded Stevens Tech in the semifinals.
