GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia men's swimming team opened its 2018-19 campaign with a 203-51 win in a dual meet with Hood on Friday.
Michael Melissen,
TJ Dalton,
Tristan Highet and
Mark Preedy picked up first in the first event of the evening, the 200 Medley Relay, touching the wall with a time of 1:40.35.
John Cashin,
Andrew Givone,
Bill Rodgers and
A.J. Cawley claimed second in the event, with a time of 1:46.35.
Dalton was first in the 1000 Freestyle, finishing with a time of 10:30.89. Preedy was third with a time of 10:43.30 and
Zach Bondurant was fourth, finishing with a time of 11:01.28.
Givone was first in the 100 Breaststroke, with a time of 1:01.82.
Austin Lauer was third, touching the wall with a time of 1:08.66.
Highet fiished first in the 50 Freestyle, with a time of 22:45. Cawley was second, touching the wall with a time of 23:73. Brooks Anderson of Hood rounded out the top three, finishing in 24:41.
Givone also placed first in the 100 Butterfly, finishing with a time of 55:19. Preedy was second with a time of 56:96 and John Foley of Hood was third with a time of 58:59.
Melissen placed first in the Men's 200 IM, finishing with a time of 2:05.62.
Austin Lauer was second with a time of 2:13.30.
Arcadia is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 20 for a dual meet with Rampo. The meet is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
