WILKES-BARRE, Pa. –
Laryssa Badulak and
Emily Rusack were runner up in No. 4 doubles, and five Knights advanced to the semifinals of singles on the second day of the women's MAC Individual Championship on Saturday.
Badulak and Rusack defeated Hannah Gileda and Nicole Panigoch of Misericordia 8-3. The duo came up short in the finals, falling 8-4.
In singles,
Tess Weber advanced to the semifinals of No. 2 singles, after defeating Kristen Kosa of DeSales, 7-6, 3-6, 10-7.
Julia Paraboschi also advanced to the semifinals, in No. 3 singles. Paraboschi defeated Cassidy Breen of Misericordia 6-1, 3-6, 10-6 and then defeated Megan Waskiewicz of Stevenson 6-1, 6-2 in the quarterfinals, to advance to the semifinals.
Emily Cruz-Pineda advanced to the semifinals of No. 4 singles, defeating Sarah Chan of DeSales in two sets, 6-4, 6-3.
Badulak is in the semifinals of No. 6 singles, after defeating Esha Kashmiri, 6-1, 6-7, 10-5 in the quarterfinals.
Sarah Rosario advanced to the semifinals of No. 7 singles, after defeating Thea Seasock of King's, 7-6, 6-1 in the quarterfinals.
Singles play will resume tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
