GLENSIDE, Pa. - Following a year-long wait, Arcadia University will induct the five members of its Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2020 on Saturday, Oct. 9. The ceremony, scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., will mark the tenth class to be inducted since the Hall of Fame's inception in 2008.
The Arcadia Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2020 is comprised of five former student-athletes - Dr. Kimberly Canfield '15, '17M, PA-C (women's soccer), Kate Allen Duncheskie '98 (women's lacrosse & field hockey), Justin Loomis '05 (baseball), Cindia Lukomski '05 (softball), and Rebecca Soda Thomson '05, '07MEd (women's basketball).

Kimberly Canfield '15, '17 MMS
Women's Soccer
A four-year member of the Arcadia women's soccer program from 2011-2014, Canfield was named Arcadia's first-ever CoSIDA Academic All-American, earning Second-Team honors in 2014 while also earning Academic All-District honors from CoSIDA in 2013 and 2014. She was a two-time, Second-Team NSCAA All-Region selection (2013, 2014) and a two-time NSCAA Division II/III Scholar All-Region selection (2013, 2014).
Canfield was a three-time All-MAC Commonwealth selection (2012-14), a 2013 ECAC First-team All-Star, and was named Arcadia's 2013 Female Athlete of the Year. She led the Knights to back-to-back ECAC Championships in 2013 and 2014, as the 2014 Knights set the program's single-season wins record with 18 victories. Canfield started in 59 of her 83 games played, compiling 32 career goals and 34 career assists for 98 career points. She currently ranks second on the program's scoring list in assists and third in points, while ranking sixth in goals. Canfield still holds the single-season program record of 16 assists in 2014.
Additionally, Canfield was named the Philadelphia Inquirer's Academic All-Area Performer of the Year following her junior year in 2013, while garnering a pair of Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area selections in 2013 and 2014. Canfield is the first Arcadia Athletic Hall of Fame inductee to play during Executive Director of Athletics & Recreation
Brian Granata's tenure.
Canfield earned her bachelor of arts in 2015 from Arcadia before completing her Masters of Medical Science in 2017. During her graduate school studies, Canfield served as a graduate assistant with the women's soccer coaching staff.
She currently works as a Orthopaedic Trauma Physician Assistant for First State Orthopaedics in Newark, Del. and continues to work with neighboring physician assistant and medical schools in educating residents and physician assistant needs. Today, Canfield continues to play in a women's soccer league and runs annual half marathons with her brother, Michael.
Kate Allen Duncheskie '98, '00 MEd
Women's Lacrosse, Field Hockey
A four-year member of both the Arcadia (then-Beaver College) field hockey and women's lacrosse programs from 1994-1998, Allen was a four-time, first-team All-Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) selection at midfield in women's lacrosse, while also garnering two second-team All-PAC honors at forward in field hockey. She also led the women's lacrosse program to the 1996 PAC Championship while earning conference tournament offensive MVP honors, marking the program's last conference championship up until the 2014 MAC Freedom championship season.
Allen graduated second all-time in career points (172), points per game (3.37), goals (145), and goals per game (2.84) for women's lacrosse - all marks that currently stand in the top-seven in the program's history.
Allen graduated with a bachelor's degree from Beaver College in 1998 and earned her masters in elementary education in 2000. She just completed her 20th year teaching second grade in the Upper Dublin School District. She and her husband Steve have three children - Grace, Stephen, and Patrick.
Justin Loomis '05
Baseball
A four-year member of the Arcadia baseball program, Loomis led the Knights to their first Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship and NCAA Division III Tournament appearance in 2004 - a regional that featured two top-five teams in the nation at the time in Rowan (No. 5) and Johns Hopkins (No. 1). Loomis was a three-time All-PAC honoree (2003-05) and was twice named an ABCA All-Region selection following his junior and senior seasons.
Following the Knights' conference title run in 2004, Loomis was named to the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional All-Tournament Team as Arcadia finished the year ranked 26th in the nation. After receiving his third-consecutive All-PAC selection in 2005, Loomis was named Arcadia's Male Senior Athlete of the Year. Loomis was also named to the PAC/CSAC Baseball 25th Anniversary Team in 2018.
Loomis has taught at Pinelands Regional High School in Tuckerton, N.J. since 2005, where he is currently the head baseball coach and assistant basketball and football coach. He has served on the baseball and basketball coaching staffs since his arrival in 2005.
Loomis graduated with a bachelor's degree in history in 2005 and completed his masters in educational leadership from the University of Scranton in 2013. He and his wife Kathryn have two daughters, Kaylee and Jordyn.
Cindia Lukomski '05
Softball
A four-year member of the Arcadia softball team, Lukomski was an All-Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) selection each of her four years, while also earning PAC Rookie of the Year honors in 2002. Lukomski was also a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) First-team All-East Region selection and Arcadia's Co-Female Senior Athlete of the Year in 2005 after the Knights finished as the runner-up in the PAC that season, defeating Cabrini who came into the conference tournament as the five-time defending champions.
Lukomski was also one of three Arcadia graduates to be named to the PAC/CSAC Softball 25th Anniversary Team in 2018, and graduated as the program leader in hits with 222 - an honor she held from 2005-2019. She currently still ranks in the top-five in a number of career statistical categories for Arcadia softball, including batting average (.437), on-base percentage (.466), runs (135), doubles (51), runs batted in (122), and total bases (298). Additionally, she led the PAC in hitting in her freshman season, culminating in Rookie of the Year honors.
She graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a German minor in 2005, and was the head softball coach at Council Rock South from 2008-2009. She and her husband Kevin have two children, Hazel and Harvest.
Rebecca Soda Thomson '05, '07 MEd
Women's Basketball
A four-year member of the Arcadia women's basketball program, Thomson was a two-time, First-team All-Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) forward and was the first player in program history to earn All-Mid Atlantic Region honors in 2004. During the 2003-04 season, Thomson became Arcadia's first 1,000-point scorer and set single-season program records at the time in points (498), scoring average (19.9 PPG), field goals (182), and three-point field goals (61). Her 19.9 points per game was also the leading mark in the PAC that season.
In her final season in 2005-06, she led the Knights to their second-highest win total in program history with 12, a mark that still stands today.
Thomson graduated as the program leader in career points (1,233), field goals (467), and rebounds (699) - all of which now rank second among the Knights' career statistical leaders.
She graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 2005 before completing her Masters of Education in 2007 from Arcadia. Thomson and her husband, Timothy, have three sons - Timothy Jr., Jaxson, and Julius.
