WIKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's swimming program continued its strong start to the season Friday night at King's, posting its fifth-straight MAC dual meet victory in a 125-69 result over the host Monarchs. Dylan Alexander and Carlos Pinga led the Knights with a pair of individual victories each on the evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Arcadia continued its dominance in the 200-yd medley relay as Shane Stauffer, George Wade, Tyler Mui, and Janis Kirsis paced the field by nearly four seconds with a winning time of 1:40.88.
-Alexander bested the field by 22 seconds in the 1000-yd freestyle with a time of 10:33.86 before coming away with his second victory of the night in the 500-yd free, touching the wall first at 5:05.91.
-The Knights claimed back-to-back victories as Kirsis took first in the 200-yd freestyle (1:49.58) and Pinga was first to the wall in the 50-yd free (22.43). Pinga later went on to take the top spot at the podium in 100-yd freestyle with a time of 49.03.
-Stauffer and Mui also picked up individual victories late in the meet, as Stauffer took the 200-yd backstroke (2:02.84) while Mui was victorious in the 200-yd breaststroke (2:18.86).
