WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's swimming program picked up its third Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) dual meet win in decisive fashion Friday night at King's, defeating the host Monarchs, 149-44. Katherine Pastva and Julia Stephens led the way for the Knights as the duo claimed a pair of individual victories each.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Stephens, Risa Krauss, Emily Raedisch, and Jessica Rodgers set the bar for the meet with a dominant showing in the 200-yd medley relay, clocking a winning time of 1:56.37.
-Natalie Link followed the relay performance up with an impressive swim in the 1000-yd freestyle, besting the field by 55 seconds with a time of 11:30.49. Olivia Hyde followed suit with a win in the 200-yd freestyle (2:10.61).
-Stephens picked up her first of two individual victories in the 50-yd freestyle, touching the wall at 26.00. The sophomore later went on to pace the field by nearly eight seconds in the 200-yd backstroke for her second victory (2:13.61).
-Pastva also earned a pair of individual victories on the night, coming in the 400-yd individual medley (5:11.05) and the 500-yd freestyle (5:48.56) to earn a valuable 18 points for the Knights.
-Sarah Ritter, Maia Signore, and Risa Krauss also took the top spot in a race each for the Knights. Ritter won the 100-yd freestyle (59.11), Signore placed first in the 200-yd butterfly 2:38.36), and Krauss was first to the wall in the 200-yd breaststroke (2:32.28)
