MADISON, N.J. - The Arcadia University men's swimming program concluded day one of the Ranger Invitational hosted by Drew University Friday evening. The Knights had several strong performances between the morning and evening sessions and enter the second and final day of the meet in third place with 101 points.

MORNING SESSION
-Kirsis began the two-day event with a runner-up finish in the 200-yd individual medley with a time of 1:59.06, marking one of three Knights to claim top-five finishes. Colten Bennett placed third (2:03.73) while Tyler Mui followed in fifth (2:04.79).
-The Knights turned in a pair of top-ten finishes in the 50-yd freestyle, led by Carlos Pinga's fifth-place finish (22.03) while Ryan Erdman touched the wall tenth (22.66).
-The 200-yd medley relay team of Shane Stauffer, Tyler Mui, Janis Kirsis, and Ryan Erdman put together a second-place finish to earn 14 points for the Knights, clocking a time of 1:37.73.
-Dylan Alexander capped the morning session with a strong third-place finish in the 1,650-yd freestyle, coming in with a time of 17:14.44.
EVENING SESSION
-Mui, Erdman, Pinga, and Stauffer began the second session with a second-place finish in the 200-yd freestyle relay, touching the wall at 1:26.50 which marked a tie with Drew's relay team.
-George Wade raced to a fourth-place finish in the 400-yd individual medley with a time of 4:23.91 before Pinga turned in another top-five in the 100-yd butterfly with a 54.12, good for fifth overall.
-Stauffer, Wade, Kirsis, and Pinga wrapped up the first day of competition with a third-place finish in the 400-yd medley relay, posting a time of 3:34.27.

The Knights take on the final day of the Ranger Invitational Saturday with the morning session scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
