ANNVILLE, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference Board of Directors met this week as part of the ongoing evaluation of athletics competition and related policies. Based on this review, the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) determined that each institution is best positioned to develop a regular-season spectator policy that aligns with campus guidelines and facility capabilities. 

Institutions can implement their spectator policies no earlier than Monday, April 5. These institutional policies will remain in effect through the regular-season and are subject to change based on the realities of the pandemic.

The following fundamental guidelines apply to any MAC institutional spectator policy:

• All spectators must follow institutional health and safety guidelines at all times while in attendance.
• All spectators must wear masks and practice appropriate social distancing at all times while in attendance.
• Failure to comply with the institutional spectator policy will result in removal from the site of competition.

Effective Monday, April 5, 2021, Arcadia Athletics will begin welcoming a limited number of spectators at outdoor home athletic competitions. Visitors will not be permitted at any indoor sporting venues. The following parameters for access to outdoor athletics facilities include:

• Arcadia faculty, staff, and students: A limited number will be permitted based on occupancy limits for each venue.
• Families and friends of participating Arcadia student-athletes: Each participating Arcadia student-athlete will be permitted to have two guests.

Arcadia's facilities will not be able to include:

• Fans from visiting institutions: Visiting teams will not be permitted to have any spectators in attendance at any indoor or outdoor sporting events. 
• General admission: There will be no general admission to our neighbors and friends at home athletic events at this time.
• NOTE: Fans from competing teams are permitted to walk the course at golf events if allowed by the host course.
