GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's tennis team opens play in the 2021 MAC Freedom Championships Tuesday as the tournament's fifth-seed and takes on fourth-seeded Misericordia in the quarterfinal round. Tuesday's winner will advance to Thursday's semifinals against the winner of the King's and Wilkes quarterfinal matchup.

ABOUT THE KNIGHTS
-The Knights and Cougars previously met in the regular season on April 27 when Misericordia came away with a 6-3 victory.
Casey Boldt and
Emily Cruz-Pineda produced a win at second doubles and each notched singles victories in the effort.
-Cruz-Pineda carries a nine-match win streak at third singles into postseason play and is tied for the conference lead with nine wins among all singles players while leading all third singles players in victories on the season. Cruz-Pineda and Boldt are also tied for the conference lead with six wins at second doubles after winning each of their last four matches to end the regular season.
-Boldt's five wins at fourth singles (5-3) are good for the second-highest total in the MAC Freedom entering postseason play. She also finished the regular season with three-straight singles wins to lead the Knights to a pair of team victories over that stretch.

Julia Paraboschi ended the regular season on a high note as well, posting a 5-3 record at second singles while coming away with wins in three of her last four matches. Paraboschi and
Tess Weber posted a 5-5 mark at first doubles over the course of the spring.
-After taking over the fifth singles slot in early April,
Tatum Marino rounded out league play by winning two of her last three matches and only dropped three games in those two wins.
