Arcadia Women's Swimming Sixth after Day One of MAC Championships
YORK, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's swim team kicked off the 2022 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships at the Graham Aquatic Center on Thursday, sitting in sixth place out of 12 teams at the end of day one.
Risa Krauss highlighted the day with a fifth-place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:15.28.
Kira Alderman completed the race in 2:20.46, good for a 16
th-place finish.
The 200 medley relay team of
Julia Stephens, Kraus,
Emily Raedisch, and
Sarah Ritter finished sixth with a time of 1:52.25, while the team of
Madelyn Meyer, Alderman,
Olivia Hyde, and
Hannah Daniels finished fourth in the B relay with a time of 1:55.45.
Natalie Link came in 12
th in the 500 freestyle, completing the race in 5:27.58. Hyde finished 16
th with a personal best of 5:32.25, while
Katherine Pastva was 20
th at 5:33.34 and
Madison Desjardins earned a personal best time of 5:43.48 at 24
th place.
In the 50 free, Ritter took a 12
th-place finish at 25.42 while
Gigi Brown finished 21
st at 26.10.
The Knights return to the pool for day two of the MAC Championships tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.
