ANNVILLE, Pa. – Arcadia University softball junior Megan Sooy has been named the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) softball Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.
 
Sooy earned her second consecutive weekly award and third overall this season after she helped the Knights to four wins this week totaling four runs scored, six walks, three doubles, two home runs and eight RBIs. She finished the week with a .471 batting average, 1.000 slugging percentage, and .609 on-base percentage. 
 
 Sooy finished 3-for-4 with two doubles, two rbi's and one run scored in 5-1 game one win over Neumann on Tuesday, went 1-for-1 with three walks and a run scored on Thursday in a 4-3 win at Stockton, and was 2-for-3 with two home runs, four rbi's and two runs scored in an 8-4 game one win at Stevens Saturday.
 
Arcadia returns to action on Thursday when it will travel to King's College for the 2022 MAC Freedom Championships. The No. 2-seeded Knights will face the No. 3-seed Monarchs in the first round starting at 12:00 p.m.
