Ali Cucinotta Named Assistant Director of Athletic Communications

GLENSIDE – The Arcadia University Department of Athletics and Recreation has announced the hiring of Ali Cucinotta as the new Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. Cucinotta began her duties at Arcadia on August 22nd.

"I want to thank Director of Athletic Communications Adam Planamento '12, Associate Director of Athletic Communications Scott De Bell, and the entire hiring committee for this opportunity," Cucinotta said. "I couldn't be more excited to get started highlighting the achievements of Arcadia athletes."

Cucinotta comes to Glenside after spending the last two summers as a Mentor and Social Media Lead for Beyond Sports Tours in Playa Flamingo, Costa Rica. While with Beyond Sports, Cucinotta was the primary social media content creator, recording footage and taking photos and editing recap videos for each of the six 10-day sessions/ Cucinotta also served as a social media manager at Impact at Cobbs Creek, where she managed and produced social media content, coordinated the content release calendar, collaborated with other team members on engagement projects, and helped contribute marketing insight to increase engagement with younger generation.

"We are very excited to add someone with Ali's skillset to the Athletic Communications office here at Arcadia," Planamento explained. "Throughout the entire process, Ali's passion for highlighting student-athlete accomplishments showed and we are excited for her to contribute fresh ideas for engagement while also contributing to our game coverage and live stream production."

Cucinotta graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Carolina Wesleyan with a degree in Communications and Cinema Media Studies in 2021. While at North Carolina Wesleyan, Cucinotta was a four-year member of the Battling Bishops women's lacrosse program, earning three All-USA South Conference selections. During her senior year, Cucinotta served as the Student Coordinator of Videography, which included producing episodes of Bishop Gaming Association and Checkmate, one of BGA's tv shows. Cucinotta also served as the videographer for the women's basketball program, where she shot, edited, and produced highlight videos and promotional videos.
