GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University men's swim team took down Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) competition FDU-Florham with a score of 200-38 on Friday evening. The Knights touched the wall first in all 14 events and the 800-yd freestyle relay squad of Shane Stauffer, Dylan Alexander, Janis Kirsis and George Wade set a new Lenox Pool record.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Stauffer, Alexander, Kirsis and Wade swam the 800-yd freestyle relay in 7:30.85, cutting 4.18 seconds off of the previous Lenox Pool record set in 2021.
- Adam Smith started off the meet strong with a first place finish in the 1000-yd freestyle with a time of 10:52.18.Â
- Stauffer earned two individual wins in the 100-yd back (55.37) and the 100-yd butterfly. He dropped .25 seconds off of his 100-yd butterfly time for a new lifetime best of 54.37.
- Wade touched the wall first in the 100-yd breaststroke with a time of 1:02.57, as well as in the 200-yd breaststroke (2:19.13).
- Owen Foley swam the 200-yd butterfly event for the first time in his career and finished first with a time of 2:05.09. He also earned the Knights 9 points in the 500-yd free (5:02.76) just three seconds off from breaking his current personal best time.
-Kirsis recorded two individual wins. First, the 50-yd freestyle, where he was only .12 seconds away from achieving a new season best time (22.82). Kirsis also finished first in the 200-yd backstroke with a time of 2:02.26.
- Kevin Foley had an exciting finish in the 200-yd individual medley beating FDU-Florham's swimmer by .08 seconds (2:06.47).  Â
Arcadia Athletics recognized seniors Kevin Foley, Kirsis and Bailey Orehosky for their four-year swimming career as Arcadia Knights this evening.Â
