DALLAS, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's swim team was back in the pool on Saturday, falling to host Misericordia University, 138.5-123.5. The Knights (0-2, 0-2 MAC) earned seven first-place finishes, highlighted by victories from Matthew Drake, Tommy Tubinas, Christopher Stanaway, Francis Andersen, and Chris Carroll.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Matthew Drake led the way for Arcadia, securing three individual victories in the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.58), 50-yard freestyle (22.49), and 200-yard backstroke (2:05.13). He also was the second-leg of the 400-yard medley relay team of Christopher Stanaway, Francis Andersen, and Kajuan Haughton, which finished in 3:45.00.
• Tommy Tubinas opened the meet strong, winning the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:00.07.
• Stanaway captured first place in the 100-yard backstroke with a sub-minute time of 56.34.
• Andersen earned the top spot in the 200-yard butterfly, clocking a 2:06.63.
• Chris Carroll claimed a win in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:15.74.
• In the 1000-yard freestyle, AJ Benowitz finished second behind Tubinas at 11:11.55, followed closely by George Mitev in third at 11:11.64.
• Johnny Pierce placed fifth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:06.53.
• Jordan Green finished fourth in the 100-yard backstroke with a 1:04.19.
• In the 100-yard breaststroke, three Knights finished consecutively — Carroll tied for second, Michael Sanchez placed fourth at 1:08.72, and Mikalai Yakhimchyk followed in fifth at 1:09.17.
• Alex Pasquarello earned a runner-up finish in the 200-yard butterfly, while Owen Foley placed fourth in the same event.

The Knights will return to the pool next weekend when they travel to FDU-Florham for another MAC dual meet.
