MADISON, N.J. – The Arcadia University men's swim team was back in the pool on Saturday for a MAC meet at FDU-Florham. The Knights (1-2, 1-2 MAC) dominated the Devils, earning a decisive 150-31 victory. Arcadia picked up 10 first-place finishes out of the 11 races they entered, securing their first win of the season in convincing fashion.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The 400-yard medley relay team of Matthew Drake, Mikalai Yakhimchyk, Alex Pasquarello, and Kajaun Haughton opened the meet with a win, posting a time of 3:52.69.
• The Knights swept the 1000-yard freestyle, led by Tommy Tubinas, who touched first with a new season-best time of 10:48.34. Chris Carroll followed in second at 10:55.31, and George Mitev finished third at 11:13.84.
• Arcadia also dominated the 200-yard freestyle, with Francis Andersen winning in 1:56.13, followed by Owen Foley in second (1:58.08) and Johnny Pierce in third (2:06.13).
• First-year standout Kajaun Haughton earned his first individual win as a Knight in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing in 22.93. Christopher Stanaway placed second at 23.08, and AJ Benowitz finished third at 25.29.
• In the 200-yard individual medley, Yakhimchyk claimed first place with a season-best time of 2:16.00, while Benowitz followed close behind in 2:17.78.
• Pasquarello earned another season-best performance in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.99.
• Drake picked up two individual victories, first in the 100-yard butterfly (55.52) and then in the 100-yard freestyle (55.16).
• Arcadia completed a sweep of the 100-yard backstroke, led by Stanaway (58.03), with Michael Sanchez finishing second (1:00.44) and Jordan Green placing third (1:05.36).

The Knights return home next week for their home opener against Messiah. The meet is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m.
