GLENSIDE, Pa. – Coming off a year where, the Arcadia University women's ice hockey team fell in the MAC Championship last season, the Knights look to grow off of that in the 2025-26 season.
As the program enters its fifth season, head coach Kelsey Koelzer looks for the Knights to continue taking steps as a team.
"It's a high compete practice so everyone is ready to go and ready to play in any situation and I think our first years are ready to do that. I am expecting them to fill big shoes. They have the capability and skills to do it."
Despite losing 13 players from last season, the Knights retain strong leadership and experience through seniors Haylee Kos, Leah Hatcher, Abbi Komrofske, Rheya Zemlak, and Maeve Hourihan.
Returning forwards from last season are Grace Matthews, Kianna Saillant, Carys Jelley, Charlotte Siksik, Phoebe Roberts, and Erika Roepke. The Knights also return defensive player Kylie Beers.

Joining the returners will be nine newcomers to Glenside for the Knights. Arcadia brings in five forwards in Hannah Hurwitz, Rylie Duffy, Ava Glab, Chloe Makinson, and Kylie Atzert. The Knights bring in Reese Plotnikoff, and Megan Sladish on defense and Ava Zoppo and Gabby Meger in goal.
The Knights, who were picked to finish third in the MAC Preseason Coaches' Poll know that they are going to have to battle every game to get to where they want to go.
The Knights open their season on Friday, October 31st as they host SUNY Morrisville at Hatfield Ice. Opening puck drop is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
