Men’s Wrestling Earns Pair of Wins at King’s College Duals

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's wrestling team returned to the mat on Sunday at the King's College Duals and picked up two victories on the day. The Knights improved to 3-3 on the season after edging New Jersey City University, 25-23, before closing the event with a convincing 37-15 win over Alfred State College.

Match 1
Arcadia 25, New Jersey City 23

Arcadia found itself trailing early after dropping four of the first six bouts, but momentum swung in the Knights' favor late in the match. Jagger Gray and James Taft delivered back-to-back wins at 174 and 184 pounds to pull Arcadia within one point at 20-19 with two weight classes remaining.

After NJCU claimed a decision at 197 pounds, the dual came down to the heavyweight bout. Logan Flynn sealed the comeback victory for Arcadia with a second-period fall at 285 pounds, lifting the Knights to a 25-23 win.

In the nightcap, Arcadia dominated from the opening bout, winning the first six weight classes to jump out to a commanding 31-0 lead. The Knights earned three technical falls, two falls, and a major decision during the early stretch before Flynn capped the match with another fall in the heavyweight bout.
