GLENSIDE, Pa. – Following a 16-9 victory over No. 2 DeSales University in a rain-soaked semifinal on Wednesday evening, the No. 3 Arcadia University men's lacrosse team will travel to face top-seeded Stevens Institute of Technology on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in the MAC Freedom Championship.

ABOUT THE KNIGHTS
Arcadia advanced to the championship after defeating No. 2 DeSales, 16-9, in the MAC Freedom Semifinals on April 29. The Knights surged to an 11-1 halftime lead before weathering a third-quarter push from DeSales, which scored six straight goals. Arcadia responded with three unanswered goals to close the quarter and regain control.
Joey Ewald and Tristan Johnson led the offense with hat tricks, while Colin Brockman continued his record-breaking season by winning 13-of-21 faceoffs and collecting nine ground balls. Defensively, TJ Shillingford recorded three caused turnovers, and Nate Hudgins made seven saves while also scoring his second career goal.
Arcadia enters the championship with a 12-6 overall record and a 5-2 mark in conference play. Johnson leads the team with 40 goals and 58 points, while Dylan Garber ranks second with 47 points on 18 goals and 29 assists. Alex Greenberg has emerged as a key scoring option, tallying 28 goals and six assists.
On the defensive end, Jack Keenan and Will Kazmierski each have 20 caused turnovers to lead the unit. Brockman leads the conference with 141 ground balls and a .705 faceoff win percentage. In goal, Hudgins has recorded 143 saves with a .532 save percentage and a 9.80 goals-against average.
In the previous meeting this season, Stevens defeated Arcadia, 28-4, on April 18. Greenberg scored twice for the Knights, while Gavin Lenart and AJ Laibach each added a goal. Hudgins made 14 saves in the first half, and Joseph Tesler added seven saves in relief.
This marks Arcadia's first appearance in the MAC Freedom Championship game since 2022, when the Knights fell to Stevens, 12-10. Stevens has captured each of the last five conference titles and holds a 10-0 advantage in the all-time series.
