HILLTOWN, Pa. – The Arcadia University equestrian team posted a pair of third-place finishes at the Penn State Berks Western Show Saturday, which also included Delaware Valley College and Rowan University.
The Knights had a pair of first-place finishes at the morning show. Freshman
Megan Donovin (Broomall, Pa.) won in Intermediate Horsemanship I, while junior
Ruth Stetler (Dillsburg, Pa.) placed first overall at Novice Horsemanship.
Sophomores
Amanda Rogowyi (Humleville, Pa.) and
Jessa Karcher (Quakertown, Pa.) placed third and fourth, respectively, in intermediate Horsemanship II, while junior
Lauren McNamara (Brick, N.J.) placed third in Advanced Walk, Trot Canter.
McNamara went to record a first-place finish in Advanced Horsemanship in the afternoon show, while Rogowyi recorded a first-place showing in Intermediate Horsemanship II. Sophomore
Raelyn McAfee (Schwenksville, Pa.) placed second in Intermediate Horsemanship I during the afternoon show.
Arcadia will next compete at a hunt seat show hosted by Bucks County Community College, Gwynedd Mercy College and LaSalle University Sunday, November 17.
