HILLTOWN, Pa. – Juniors
Lauren McNamara (Brick, N.J.) and
Lindsay Riekers (Lancaster, Pa.) each recorded a top-two finish in their respective disciplines at Saturday's Western Regional Championships, which were hosted at Arcadia University's Red Wing Farm.
In doing so they advanced to the national semifinals, which will take place March 29-30 at St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, North Carolina.
McNamara qualified for the semifinal in Novice Horsemanship, while Riekers advanced to the semifinals in Advanced Horsemanship. Their official finish will not be announced until the awards are presented at the annual banquet, which will take place March 8 at Marjeane Caterers in Lansdale.
Senior
Hannah LeMunyon (Warminster, Pa.), junior
Katelyn Binder (Feasterville, Pa.), and sophomores
Megan Conley (Perkasie, Pa.) and
Amanda Rogowyi (Humleville, Pa.) were among the 18 riders competing in Intermediate Horsemanship II, while junior
Danielle Fanelli (Basking Ridge, N.J.) qualified in Novice Horsemanship.
Arcadia University was also recognized as the Western Reserve High Point Team for the year with the second-highest point total among the five teams in the region.
