Box Score Reading, PA (March 2, 2013) - The Arcadia University Knights (0-3) dropped a 14-4 decision to the Albright College Lions this afternoon. The Knights fell behind early and could never recover from the early deficit. Four different players scored a goal for the Knights.
Albright scored five in the first quarter and then scored three more in the second quarter before the Knights could get on the board.
Kevin Izzo scored at 6:38 of the second quarter for the Knights first goal. Arcadia got their second goal in a man-up situation with 43-seconds to play in the first half by Matt Fox and the game went into the break with Albright leading 8-2.
Albright made it 9-2 early in the third then
John Phillips for the Knights scored to make the score 9-3. The Lions scored at 5:44 to make the score 10-3, but
Austin Morris scored from Phillips at 2:51 and the match went to the fourth with the Knights trailing 10-4. Albright scored all four goals in the fourth quarter to make the final 14-4.
Cory Sonderschafer made 14 saves in over 50 minutes of action.
Arcadia will return to action on Wednesday night as they host Penn State-Abington for a 7pm face-off on Easton Field.
