Box Score GALLOWAY, N.J. – The Arcadia University men's lacrosse team dropped a 12-3 non-conference decision at Richard Stockton Saturday afternoon. The Ospreys scored all six fourth quarter goals to pull away and secure the win, improving their record to 7-2 for the season. The Knights fell to 3-3 with the loss.
Arcadia held a 2-1 second quarter lead on goals from freshman
Joe Stanton (Edgewater, Md.) and sophomore
James Galassi (Floral Park, N.Y.) before a five-goal run gave Stockton the lead for good in the third quarter. Freshman
John Caruso (Cinnaminson, N.J.) broke up the run with 2:55 left in the third frame for the Knights, making it a 6-3 game entering the final frame.
Junior Nick Bologno (Glen Gardner, N.J.) led the Ospreys with four goals and two assists, while sophomore Tyler Van Benschoten (Saddle Brook, N.J.) added two goals with one assist.
Freshman Eric Leonard (Mount Laurel, N.J.) had 10 saves in recording the win in net for Stockton, while freshman
Jordan Culichia (Pittsburgh, Pa.) had 20 saves in 54:12 while taking the loss for Arcadia.
The Ospreys outshot the Knights 49-20 in the game, with a 26-9 advantage in the second half. Stockton also had a 36-29 edge in ground balls.
The Knights will be back in action Wednesday when they host a 4 p.mn. non-conference contest aginst Gwynedd Mercy at Easton Field.
