Box Score MADISON, N.J. – The Arcadia University men's lacrosse team fell behind 5-0 in the second quarter and was unable to bounce back as it closed the 2014 season with an 8-4 loss at FDU-Florham Saturday. The Knights closed the season with an overall record of 6-8, including a 2-4 mark in conference play.
The Devils improved to 8-7 overall and 3-3 in conference play with the win, and in doing so qualified as the fourth-seeded for the Freedom Conference tournament.
Junior Frank Reda (Hauppauge, N.Y.) scored the only goal of the first quarter with 1:11 to go in the frame to give FDU the lead for good in the game, which also started a five-goal surge for the Devils to start the game. Freshman
Kenny Grant (Ridge, N.J.) broke up the run with a man-up goal with 3:45 left it the second, cutting Arcadia's deficit to 5-1 at the half.

Chris Jacovino (Hauppauge, N.Y.) opened the third quarter scoring to make it a three-goal game, but FDU then closed the period with a three-goal run to open an 8-2 lead heading into the final quarter.

Robert Palumbo (Staten Island, N.Y.) and freshman
John Caruso (Cinnaminson, N.J.) scored within a span of 1:32 to make it 8-4 with eight minutes to go, but the Knights were unable to get any closer.
Senior Lance O'Donovan (Duxbury, Mass.) and Reda scored two goals each for the Devils, while freshman Connor May (Rochester, N.Y.) scored what proved to be the game-winner with 6:41 remaining in the second.
Junior Gerry Yotcoski (Cranford, N.J.) had 12 saves to earn the win in net for FDU, while freshman
Jordan Culichia (Pittsburgh, Pa.) had nine saves in taking the loss for the Knights.
The Devils outshot Arcadia 36-32, had a 36-26 advantage in ground balls and won 9-of-16 faceoffs.
