GLENSIDE, Pa. – The fourth-seeded Arcadia University men's soccer team hits the road for the MAC Commonwealth Championship Semifinal Wednesday night to take on top-seeded Messiah. The Knights bested fifth-seeded Alvernia 2-1 Monday night in the Play-In Game.

ABOUT ARCADIA: Arcadia started the year with a 6-1-1 record in non-conference play before facing a MAC Commonwealth opponent; the Knights went on to add a 3-2 win at Staten Island to cap non-conference action at 7-1-1. To earn the fourth seed in the postseason tournament, the Scarlet and Grey went 4-3-1 against MAC Commonwealth competition. Arcadia closed out the regular season unbeaten (4-0-1) over its final five matches. As a team, the Scarlet and Grey outscored its opponents 32-20 in the regular season.
ARCADIA LEADERS: Junior
Ryan Hammer and senior
Bradley McKim, both of whom were tabbed to the Second-Team All-MAC Commonwealth earlier this week, lead the Arcadia attack and are tied for fourth in the conference with 20 points each. The former has handed the second most assists of all conference players with a team-best eight. McKim netted eight goals on the year to lead the team, and tie for the third most in the MAC Commonwealth; the senior is on a four-game goal-scoring streak. The duo, along with freshman
Harun Abdullahi, have each registered three game-winning goals. Adbullahi found the back of the net six times in his rookie campaign, including the game-winner against Alvernia Monday night. Senior
Chris Watson has backstopped the Knights in 11 of their 12 wins this season, with a 1.08 goals-against average and .817 save percentage.
ABOUT MESSIAH: The Falcons come in as the top seed in the MAC Commonwealth Championship, and the No. 3 team in Division III with a 17-1 record. Kirby Robbins leads Messiah in scoring with 29 points, including a team-best 12 goals; he has also handed out five assists. Connor Bell has started all 18 games in goal, posting a 17-1 record with a 0.46 goals-against average and .867 save percentage.
ARCADIA'S POSTSEASON HISTORY: This is the Knights' fourth straight appearance in the MAC Commonwealth Championship and seventh appearance overall. In last season's Play-In Game, fifth-seeded Arcadia bested fourth-seeded Hood 4-3 in penalty kicks to advance to the Semifinal match.
