WAYNESBORO, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's golf wrapped up the fall portion of their schedule with the second round at the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Challenge hosted by McDaniel College and Gettysburg College at Waynesboro Country Club.  Waynesboro is playing as a par 72, 6740-yard course.  Arcadia finished in 18th place in the 18-team field, but as a team improved their team total by 16 strokes to shoot a 315 for the round and a team total of 646. Leading the way for the Knights was Frankie Sass, whose five birdies gave him a 77 +5.

Sass, who carded a 38, +2 on the front nine, started with a double bogey before getting his first birdie of the day.  He then picked up back-to-back pars before giving a stroke back on the fifth.  Sass then shot two straight birdies and picking up one last par on the front.  On the back, he picked up his fourth birdie on the 12th hole, which he birdied for the second straight day.  He then had two more pars before picking up his fifth birdie on the 18th hole for a +3, 39.  He finished the tournament tied for 59th.

Matteo Patitucci and Tony Antonelli each finished with a +7 79 for the Knights.  Patitucci finished tied for 71st.  On the front, Patitucci was +4 for an opening score of 40 with four pars and picking up a birdie on the second hole.  On the back, he was one stroke better with a +3 39, highlighted by a hole-in-one on the 140-yard par 3 17th hole, his second eagle of the tournament (hole eight, in round one).  Patitucci had three more pars on the back nine.

Tony Antonelli, who finished tied for 64th overall with his 79 for round two, shot a +5 41 on the front nine with six pars.  On the back, Antonelli worked around three bogeys to card five more pars and picking up a birdie on the last hole.

Hayden Williamson rounded out the scoring for the Knights with an 80, +8.  On the front, Williamson shot a +4 40 and started his round with a birdie on the first hole before firing four straight pars.  On the back, Williamson matched his front 40 with another +4 40, with three more pars and his second birdie on the 18th hole.  Williamson finished in a tie for 87th.

Nicky Antonelli's 86, +14 did not contribute to the overall team score but Antonelli finished in 94th place overall for the tournament.  On the front, Antonelli shot a +9 45 with four pars.  On the back, he started with five straight pars and improved by four strokes to shoot a +5 41.
