Knights Fire Season-Best 304 at Golden Oaks Shootout

FLEETWOOD, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's golf team hosted round two of the Golden Oaks Shootout at Golden Oaks Golf Club in Fleetwood, Pa. The course played as a par 72, 5,502-yard layout. The Knights recorded their best team score of the 2025 fall season, tying for sixth all-time in program history with a 304. Overall, Arcadia finished seventh out of nine teams with a two-round total of 624—just one stroke behind Swarthmore (623) and three strokes behind Alvernia and Hood (621). Matteo Patitucci and Nicky Antonelli paced the Knights with matching +2, 74s for the round.

Patitucci, who finished tied for 11th at +9 for the tournament, improved by five strokes from day one. The sophomore opened with a +2, 38 on the front nine, starting with five straight pars before carding a bogey on the sixth. He quickly recovered with a birdie on the seventh and finished the front with a double bogey and par. On the back, Patitucci shot an even-par 36 with five pars, two birdies, and two bogeys.

Nicky Antonelli also fired a +2, 74 to finish in a tie for 17th overall at +12 for the tournament. Antonelli opened the round at -1 through the first three holes before returning to even with a bogey on the fourth. He closed the front nine with three consecutive pars and two bogeys for a 38. On the back, Antonelli matched par with four birdies and two pars, overcoming two bogeys and a double on 18 to finish strong.

Frankie Sass finished third for the Knights, posting consistent nines of 38–38 for a +4, 76. Sass started with back-to-back bogeys but rebounded with three pars and a birdie to move to +1 through six. He added another birdie and two bogeys to finish the front. On the back, Sass matched his 38 with two birdies, three pars, and four bogeys, finishing tied for 17th overall at +12.

Tony Antonelli rounded out the team scoring with a +8, 80, finishing tied for 34th at +20 for the tournament. Antonelli carded a 40 (+4) on the front with six pars, including a stretch of four straight, and matched that with another 40 (+4) on the back. He added three pars and a birdie on the par-3 15th.

Hayden Williamson's +9, 81 did not factor into the team score but earned him 30th place overall at +16. Williamson shot a 41 (+5) on the front with four pars, improving by a stroke on the back with a 40 (+4) that included a birdie on the 11th and three consecutive pars to close the round.

First-year golfers Justin Madden and Chad Jones also competed as individuals, both improving on their day-one performances. Madden lowered his score by six strokes, shooting 86 to place 46th overall. He carded a 45 on the front with three pars and improved by four strokes on the back with a 41, including five pars and two to close out the round. Jones posted a 91 (+19) for round two, finishing tied for 49th after improving by nine strokes overall. He shot 47 on the front with three pars and 44 on the back with two more.

Albright's "B" Team overtook JWU–Charlotte to claim the team title, shooting a 297 for round two and a 595 (+19) overall. Federico Cobos Kallmann earned medalist honors with a -1, 71 on day two, finishing as the only golfer under par for the tournament at -3 overall.

The Knights conclude their fall slate this weekend at the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic, hosted by McDaniel College and Gettysburg College at Waynesboro Country Club.
