YORK, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's swimming team closed out the final day of the Spartan Splash with another strong collective effort, highlighted by multiple top-10 finishes and two event victories. The Knights continued to build momentum throughout championship Sunday, posting major time drops across several events and placing third overall in the seven-team field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• In the 1650-yard freestyle, Rylie Pellegrino was the top finisher for the Knights, placing 12th at 20:24.62. Maddie Farrelly followed in 14th at 20:30.08, while Jenna Carr finished 16th with a time of 21:35.42.
• In the 200-yard backstroke, Gabby Schultz reached the A-Final and secured a 4th-place finish at 2:17.89—over a second faster than her prelims time. Kayleigh Kennedy competed in the B-Final and placed 15th at 2:27.91.
• Mikayla Scardino won the 100-yard freestyle A-Final with a time of 52.93. Also in the A-Final, Brooke Boyd placed 7th at 56.64. In the B-Final, Audrey Haydu finished 10th at 56.66, while Kiera Krebs placed 12th at 58.21.
• In the 200-yard breaststroke, Juliane Heller led Arcadia with a 2:34.47 finish in the A-Final.
• Ava Despeaux won the 200-yard butterfly with an impressive finals time of 2:15.13—dropping five seconds from prelims.
• In the women's final event of the day, the 400-yard freestyle relay, Scardino, Boyd, Despeaux, and Haydu placed second at 3:45.39, cutting 10 seconds off their seed time. Pellegrino, Krebs, Kylie Perry, and Schultz also posted a significant improvement with an 8th-place finish at 3:52.85.
Messiah won the meet with 831 points. Host York College placed second with 656 points, while Arcadia secured third. Widener finished fourth (459), Stevenson fifth (392), Elizabethtown sixth (376), and Hood rounded out the field with 134 points.

The Knights will take the Thanksgiving break off before traveling to Kutztown for a dual meet on Saturday, December 6th.
