GLENSIDE - It was another busy week inside the Esports Arena as the Arcadia University Esports programs continued play.
LEAGUE OF LEGENDSÂ Â Â Â
The Arcadia League of Legends team faced off with New England Institute of Technology, dropping a 2-0 decision. In game one, the Knights came out strong in an intense 40-minute battle. Despite the strong effort, NEITÂ held on to secure teh win in the final moments. In game two, Arcadia struggled at the outset, which NEIT took full advantage of to to secure teh victory.
Later in the week, the Knights faced Trent, another 2-0 defeat. In game one, Arcadia opted for its signature strategy - a slow, methodical comp design to scale into the late game. However, Trent's aggressive play style and unrelenting pressure broke through the Knights defenses as Arcadia fell behind. Game two played almost identically to the first as the Knights stuck to their tried-and-true approach, but Trent's relentless momentum proved too much.
ROCKET LEAGUE
The Arcadia Rocket League team faced off with Pace University this week, notching a 3-0 win. In the first game, Arcadia showcased impressive teamwork, precision, and control to quickly establish the lead. Pace struggled throughout the match to counter the Knights tempo as Arcadia cruised to the victory.Â
Later in the week, the Knights matched up with Seton Hill, earning a 3-1 victory. Arcadia dominated in the first, second, and fourth games, while losing by a slim 3-2 margin in game three to take the match.
OVERWATCH
The Arcadia Overwatch team took on Bryant and Stratton, a 3-0 defeat. The Knights struggled to find their footing against a highly-ranked opponent in the toughly contested matchup.
