Men’s Lacrosse Opens 2026 Season at Home Against Immaculata

GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's lacrosse team is set to open its 2026 season on Saturday, February 14, welcoming Immaculata University to Jean Lenox West Field. Faceoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Arcadia posted a 6-1 record in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) last season and had eight players named to the All-MAC Freedom teams, including a Specialist of the Year selection. Entering the 2026 campaign, the Knights were selected to finish third in the MAC Freedom Preseason Coaches' Poll.

"Really excited to open the campaign this coming weekend with Immaculata University," shared first-year head coach Will Pilat. "My expectations are to bring energy and positivity every day to our team and just keep working hard. In terms of the on-field piece, we're looking to get back to the playoffs, make that championship game for the MAC Freedom, and just keep competing to the best of our ability every day," Pilat added.

The Knights return three players who earned All-MAC Freedom honors last season in Ryan Gannon, Gavin Lenart, and Nate Hudgins.

Arcadia also welcomes back nine seniors in Dylan Garber, Dillon Beerman, Jack Keenan, Aidan Higgins, Jacob Mann, Will Kazmierski, Joseph Tesler, Nick Sgarra, and Tristan Johnson. The junior class features 13 players: Sean Perkinson, Reilly Robichaud, TJ Shillingford, Darian Good, Adrien Widdows, John Mooney, Joey Ewald, Anthony Mangini, William Burke, AJ Laibach, Joey Connolly, Ryan Clark, and Kyle Laub. The sophomore class includes Alex Greenberg, Kyle Schiller, Alden Cathey, Connor Macklin, Marco Brid, Andrew Peake, Tom Cardi, Liam Flynn, Mason Bardnt, Colin Brockman, Landen Cantwell, Carter Mostecki, and Ethan Bennett.

Coach Pilat will also welcome a class of 12 newcomers in his first recruiting class, including Luc Roulier, Luka Binsol, Marco D'Alicandro, Quinn Finnegan, Noah Garcia, Ethan Conrad, Michael Hemming, Danny Brighter, Peyton Williams, Brendan Geraghty, Layne Williams, and Joe Rawlins.

"We have a good core returning, definitely on the defensive end," Pilat said. "We have a strong group of newcomers, and I think they've done a great job integrating with our coaching staff and getting connected to the upperclassmen."

Coach Pilat has named Gavin Lenart, Aidan Higgins, and Tristan Johnson as team captains for the 2026 season.

The Knights will play 10 non-conference games, including six at home, before opening MAC Freedom play on April 1 on the road at Delaware Valley. The MAC Freedom semifinals are scheduled to begin on April 29, with the championship game set for May 2.
